I have a large double-operable vinyl sliding window that is not square, resulting in a small gap in the upper left hand corner of the window of about 1/16″ (I just noticed this in preparing to get new window blinds installed); I’d estimate that the frame is offset/ajar by about 3/8″ total in that top corner. I can push the window square (so there’s space in the overall frame, but cannot get it to stay there.
The window itself does latch, but clearly doesn’t fully seal. Is there a way I can rectify this without too much hassle, such as an insert I can put into the bottom sill/track under that side to help square up the window itself? I’d prefer not to replace the entire window or pull it out entirely.
I’ve attached some photos below to show the issue. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

No "quick fix" remedies come to mind. You could add foam sealer, but the window will probably not latch.Whoever installed this window failed to check for matching diagonals.
Your best bet: start over! If the installation is without exterior trim (siding butts against the window frame), choose an appropriate trim and mark its exterior edge on the siding. Now use a saw to cut away the siding. An oscillating cutter is an excellent tool for this kind of work. The window's nailing flange should come into full view. Correct the window placement as needed so that diagonals are equal and the window sits level and plumb. Place a drip cap at the top of the window, behind the siding. Install J-channels if needed (vinyl siding). Finally, install exterior trim and caulk as needed.
I never attempt to remedy a faulty installation. I go to the root of the problem.
