I’m just finishing up the roof on my house & I noticed (from the inside) that I forgot to put in H clips for one sheet of ply.
I’m using 5/8ths sheathing & rafters are 16″ OC.
Obviously I’m hoping to not tear the roof apart to fix that one sheet. I had heard (don’t remember where) that clips are only required for 24″ OC or greater. Is this true?
If not, are there any alternatives to taking it apart?

I've never used clips for 5/8" ply when run 16" OC. I suppose its not a bad idea, but the 5/8 seems plenty stiff between the rafters.
If you feel like you need to do something, you could add blocking from inside the attic. Either cut 2x to fit between the rafters, toeing them into the rafters, or use strips of 5/8 or 3/4 ply, and screw them into the roof sheathing. Just don't use too long of a screw<G>
Thanks.
Don't worry about it, 5/8" sheathing and 16" centers you'll be fine without H clips. I never use H clips. I do it the old fashioned way when support is needed, I nail 2x3's or 2x4's for cats between the rafters.

Your plenty good with the 5/8 ply and the 16" oc. 5/8 ply doesn't need clips. and according to our local code 2"x2" is can be used in leiu of clips. I don't even know if 1/2" ply needs clips at 16". We've always used em with 24" oc.
