after 10 years of pulling around my 10 ” hitachi on the delta rolling stand. from the shop to out side from the truck to the shop, i’ve reached the end of that routine and decided to get a dedicated unit with the 10 ” bosch and mount it on a miter stand that i saw in a publication i cant re-call it. But i’ll try a description and send it out here , and would appreciate any help. It’s stainless steel , on heavy duty roller casters. has fold down “gull wing” side extensions with rollers maybe 24″ long on each side. below the saw platform , theres a roomy, lockable (lever ) storage compartment . enough for a compressor and maybe a gun. it’s sold out of i believe california, i believe it’s name and this is very vague under the title of – Werkart- for mid 300’s . i have been trying to find it, google it , scoured the pile of publication to no avail. Any leads woul d really be a help thanks enjoy your sunday.

does the stand you are looking for fold up (into itself)?I can't ever remember seeing a (manufactured) mitre saw work stand with a cabinet built into it. But I believe Rousseau makes one that is a kind of table (with wheels), with ladder type wings.********************************************************

It sorta looks like an industrial shop cart with two flat, "ladder rung" fold up tables.
And closer to 4 bills from the FWW mag. I see that the reviewer was Gary Katz. You might also want to ask in his forum over at JLC.
The company name might be Werkart or it might be Wise Designs.
Here is the addy and phone number.

Ah, now I see. Looks like it could be a PITA to drive in and out of a difficult job site with those little wheels.
This one may still be available. Auction closed with 0 bids a few weeks ago:

The one if FWW is similar, but a little different. Has single large cabinet at the top.

I didn't remember it.Google found a site where some one had listed the table of index from the FWW issues.
Bill- made a phone call to werkart, yesterday ,and talk to a guy named robert . he was somewhat a little perterbed about my phone call . and i figured i'd try why ?? and apparently he's at the end of his rope because werkart is not made in america anymore he has them made in of all place's hong kong and apparently the quality control in hong kong is become a problem and not only that he has had a lot of trouble getting them into the country. he says that the Q.C. has all beeen solved absolutely(????) , there are more bells and whistle on the thing and this is the kicker he has costco and the like breathing down there neck to hurry up with this..... and the price $199.99 i got some info coming on this in the mail, but all of sudden i have this funny taste in my mouth and wondering ...... ?? thanks again. k.." we judge ourselves by our motives, and others by their actions........."

There are several threads both here and on Knot, the woodworking forum on the site on miter saw stands and workstations including some nice homemade ones.
As mentioned Rousseau makes one that is similar but your would need to fit a cabinet under the stand.
Here is the info listed for Werkart but I can't find any links to pics of the thing and they don't appear to have a website.

Having said that, California has always seemed to be full of small operations stuck back in industrial complexes churning out interesting and sometimes wonderful stuff.

I own a Werkart. I really like it, so well in fact I wish to find another.
I purchased mine from a retail store called "Junior Tools" located in Santa Ana, Calif. which has since gone out of business.
Mine cost almost $300.00, well worth the price. Mine has two wheels and two feet. The saw base is infinately adjustable.
I put Werkart into the computor, but the closest I find is by Rossaneau or something like that.
I believe the cart was made in Germany. My present one only has the name on a decal.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
