any advice on where I can find / order / purchase (preferrably web-site) a thermal insulating panel for a medical lab box that is wall mounted on the exterior of a medical center. I mounted 2 steel boxxes to a brick masonry wall with a power driven masonry gun. 1-1/2″ nails with washers. I have to replace the back insulated panel on both boxxes. The consistency of the original panel, before being damaged, was a very dense sort of styrofoam? was approx. 1/2″ inch thick X 12″ X 12″. The panel must protect the contents in the box from moisture, extreme heat & extreme cold.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You! Chipper 2/5/04

If you could more fully explain what your asking for, a picture or two would be ideal, I think I could picture what your talking about.
From the mental picture I have I suppose some 1/2", you could go with any standard thickness, generally by 1/2" increment, to 4" isocyanurate foil faced panel. These are relatively cheap, easy to work with and sold in 4x8' panels. These have a slightly higher R-value over styrene foams.
