I have purchased an older home (21 Year)in the cold country of California – Lake Tahoe. I would lke to re-insulate the house and have been told that I need to take the interior walls down to studs to really do well. However, I remember seeing an old house video where they drilled holes in existing interior walls and shot in insulation. which is correct and which is more cost effective?
