On a TV show – didn’t catch the name – they showed a interlocking granite tile. I am not sure if they were floating or not but the tiles interlocked making for an easy and level installation. They were later grouted with a special grout. The show was on the Food Network. I am not sure who made the tiles. Anybody seen these before? Any good?

Probably the Edge brand from Lowes. Comes in 12x24" pieces, two tiles to a piece, grout is in an aerosol can. It's a new low point, even for Lowes.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
"It's a new low point, even for Lowes."
Why is it a crappy product?
Come to think of it this weekend at my local Rona ( Cdn) I saw a interlocking 3/4 hardwood. Ugly looking finish, but the product itself looked good to me.
I have read a couple of on-line discussions about it, and no one has had good luck. Apparently the tiles crack very easily, and the aerosol grout is a joke. Getting satisfactionj from Lowes and the mfgr is an exercise in frustration.

"aerosol grout"I am wondering if we are taking about the same thing. What is an aerosol grout? The product I saw still had a grout that needed water added - not sure what you mean by aerosal.
Lowe's Edge is tile on a backerboard. And that backerboard snaps together. No stone.Someplace recently I saw a reference to somehting that was different, but kinda of like that. But I don't remember where. Might be what you saw.
The grout comes premixed in an aerosol can, like that cheeze whiz stuff from a couple of years ago.

"like that cheeze whiz stuff"--Whele it cant be all bad then right?______________________________________________
--> measure once / scribble several lines / spend some time figuring out wich scribble / cut the wrong line / get mad
WHERE CAN I GET THIS CHEEZ WHIZ TYPE GROUT? I'M IN CHICAGO AND IF I CAN FIND THIS STUFF IT MAY BE EASIER THAN MIXING AND HOPING I DON'T MAKE TOO BIG A MESS SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TILING.
IS THE A CERTAIN MAKER? COLOR CHART?
THANKS

WEelcome to the forum.
Lowes sells the grout in the ceramic tile section. Usually there is a section of the shelving that is dedicated to the Edge tiles, and the grout is right there. i have never looked at it long enough to see what colors they have.
But why do you want to use it? Mixing dry grout is easy, and it's not real messy. And not even expensive in small quantities. Get a small plastic bucket, about a gallon. Maybe you have one of those empty ice cream containers handy .. if not, time for an end-of-summer ice cream party. Put about a cup of water in the bucket, add about 2 cups of powder, and mix thoroughly. It will probably be soupy. Slowly add more powder and mix thoroughly. Too dry? Add a little water. The key is to add just a little of water or powder until you get the right consistency. You want it something like toothpaste. It's iomportant to put the water in the bucket first, or else you'll have a hard time getting all the powder mixed up.

"Why is it a crappy product? "
Like Ed said ... appearantly yes .. very crappy.
I've not worked with the stuff ... and now never will.
Google it .... I looked it up after someone else mentioned it here .... read tons of replies about it on various sites .... not one positive ...
and ... most were down right angry!

interlocking granite tile
Like interlocking laminate flooring? Not to be critical, yeah, if pigs can fly.
