Drywall finisher used 3/4 roller and placed it into a paint tray w/ drywall mud and rolled it on the walls to give the walls a smoother appearance at the seams – never thought of doing this. (always used a trowel and mud pan).
Guy on tv was using an angle grinder to cut backerboard for bathroom wall tiling-never thought of this. (always used a circular w. a hardibacker blade & a cutout tool).

Several years back, I watched guys building offices in the building I worked in. Steel studs & drywall. The finishers put a line of mud on the joints (no tape), then went over it with a damp sponge to make it smooth. Painted the next day.
