I have been a member for a couple of years, my local chapter does do some promotion and classes in the area. I use their logo in my ads and pass out a brouchure they put out along with mine, called “HOW TO SELECT A REMODELING CONTRACTOR” and I must admit it does help me get a lot of jobs.
Consider it an investment in your advertising dollar.

....Jeff... I think it depends on what is active in your area..here in RI.. we have a really great chapter of NAHB (RI Builders Association) with probably 1/3 being Remodelers, and a Remodeler's Counsel... NARI isn't as active here, but I understand they are big time in the Boston area....
It has certainly helped me to keep my own business in perspective, and meet guys with problems just like mine...

I've been to their web site. The prices seem a bit high, to me. Is there a real benefit to joining? The fact that they do some sort of testing appeals to me. But, is it in the end just another sales tool; I must be better because I belong and he doesn't? Does anyone have any experience with them, both good and bad? Looking for some opinions. Jeff
