Jeff,
I have been a member for a couple of years, my local chapter does do some promotion and classes in the area. I use their logo in my ads and pass out a brouchure they put out along with mine, called “HOW TO SELECT A REMODELING CONTRACTOR” and I must admit it does help me get a lot of jobs.
Consider it an investment in your advertising dollar.

....Jeff... I think it depends on what is active in your area..here in RI.. we have a really great chapter of NAHB (RI Builders Association) with probably 1/3 being Remodelers, and a Remodeler's Counsel... NARI isn't as active here, but I understand they are big time in the Boston area....
It has certainly helped me to keep my own business in perspective, and meet guys with problems just like mine...
*Thanks guys, I think my next step is to sit in on a local meeting. Jeff

I've been to their web site. The prices seem a bit high, to me. Is there a real benefit to joining? The fact that they do some sort of testing appeals to me. But, is it in the end just another sales tool; I must be better because I belong and he doesn't? Does anyone have any experience with them, both good and bad? Looking for some opinions. Jeff
