I’m constructing a house addition, and have a joist layout question.
Floor plan consists of a rectangular section joined to a 24′ square garage at a 45 degree angle. I’ve been able to layout the joists on the rectangular section just by measuring over from the rim joist attached to the existing house.
My question is how to go about setting the 16″ on-center measurements on the section past the angle. While I have an approach, I’m wondering how it “should be done”.
thanks,
-TJ
