I am building a 30 X 36 Ft single story garage in the Cumming area north of Atlanta. The slab is ready for framing. The building will have one 16 ft garage door, one steel exterior door and seven 28×44 windows. It will have 9 ft ceilings and 2×4 studs 16 in O.C. with 19 6/12 trusses and will have OSB over walls and roof. The roof will be felted and ready for roofing.
The vinyl siding contractor will take care of the cornice work. I am going to furnish all materials for this job and I need someone to tell me what I should expect to pay for the labor cost to get the above framing work done.?

$4000 maybe??
*I suppose it all really depends on if you want a full boogered version or not. Seriously though, I would say that with all the header work, framing, sheathing, truss setting and felt plus garage door & man door installation, I assume. (Sounds like the siding, trim and final roofing will be on you.) I would say about ....hold on let me get the calculator out.... 30x36=1080 ... then 1080x$5 per sf (a very reasonable price)= 5400.00. Yeah that sounds OK as long as you got everything there and enough of it when it is needed. Don't forget that with 9' ceilings each stud has to be cut to length as opposed to precuts being used. Of course that's what I would charge here in Ohio.Pete
*Pete, dont you guys in Ohio use precut 9' studs....104 5/8"? Cant imagine cutting all those studs.

WOW..Here in Brooklyn framers get close to $30 a sq ft...so I think around $30,000 for the labor is a nice number.

I just had a house framed here in Raleigh NC for $3.75 a square foot - labor only. That included, a framed floor system and a complicated stick built hip roof.
By our local prices, garage on a slab with trusses, maybe, guess, $2.50 a foot, or maybe add some extra for the "small job".
By the way - here the precut 9' studs are 105".
