I have to raise a 14’x16, 40 year old gable roof shop to put a cement foundation under it. I have straightened it and sheeted it inside with 1/2 inch plywood. Previously someone has filled the insde with cement using the sole plate for a form. The sole plate is also cupped and rotted in quite a few spots. I would like the foundation to be the same height as the interior slab. There is no big door just an entrance door on the one supporting wall. Questions, where do I place my jacks, what size jack. how and where should I support garage while working. Is it okay to do cement work first and worry about sole plate after. Thanks from a thrifty homeowner.
