Light fixture fiberglass insulation?

Recently installed some exterior ceiling fixtures on a 3/8″ beaded plywood
porch ceiling. The cast metal fixtures have 3 bulbs @ 60w max., there
was no fiberglass insulation to place between the fixture and the ceiling, should I add some insulation to help protect the plywood ceiling?

    If the fixtures are new UL listed and right out of the box then I wouldn't bother.

      *I think I'll side with red tape wrappers on this.If it is a UL listed fixture for your application don't modify it. If it is not a UL listed fixture for your application don't install it.joe d
