I’m want to buy a staple gun that’s small enough to fit into aluminum j-channel, but shoots a long enough staple to use it doing wood trim work also. I would prefer a Senco or Porter Cable, but I,m open to anything that’s of comparable quality that will do the job. As usual, it’s needed Monday!

Jake - judging from your post, you think of Senco and P C to be comparable. Judging from LOTS of disscussion on this and other boards the past couple months, you might reconsider. If you really gotta have it Monday, buy a Senco. Otherwise check archives, tool section and jlconline.com to get a sampling of what I'm talking about. Hard to find a bad word uttered about Senco, usually others are measured against them. - yb
*To young bob: Thank you for the responce. I did not mean to infer that Senco and Porter Cable pneumatic tool were equals, but that I was looking for something in that range. I currently own four Senco. One is a twenty-five year old T-nailer and one is a brand new SNF40. I've got no quaims with Senco. I've tried a friends Porter Cable brad gun and for the price, it wasn't to bad. My problem is finding a gun that small enough to fit J-channel and yet fire other staples that are long to do something other than aluminum soffit and facia. The Porter Cable NS100 will not fit in the channel and the Senco put a small bend in it. If all else fails, I'll probably go with the Senco, but I just wanted to check my options. Please excuse the name change, but I couldn't get back in the break room so I re-registered.
*Shakey, stick with the brand you trust. If you hate it, the Senco will be a better resale to someone who needs a stapler.
