I have a oil hot air burner which is installed with a single cold air return. The vent for the cold return is directly over the top of the furnace and in a main/common room. The noise level when the furnace runs is really annoying. The noise of the furnace jumps right up and out of the cold air return. We need to increase the volume of the TV when its on, lower it when its off, it’s hard to talk on the phone, etc.
Anyone have any tips for making this quieter?
The furnace is an Airco.
