Hi Laurence
Donna here from Ottawa. Can’t comment on the tv show thing…don’t watch the one you mentionned, however, I get House and Home plus scads of other rags and I’d say go for it. I don’t have firsthand experience with getting published, but I freelance with a designer who was featured in “Style at Home” and she got some new clients from the article. Just make sure you get your phone number included and ask to review the article/photos prior to publication.
Keep in mind that “decorator” magazines are pretty much fluff and pretty photos…not technical stuff…but hey, they sell.
Good luck, looking forward to seeing a fellow Canadian Breaktimer in the glossies.

Had a couple of people contact me asking for photos et al....The first one is "House and Home Magazine", and the tv show is "Ron Hazelton's house call". I guess what I'm seeking is anyone who has had dealings with these corporations in the past...are they as good as their word? Are they respectable? Is the Show well informed or is it just another rehashed home time or Vila thing. I don't get the show up here in my Igloo!
Personal opinions only as always...If worried about slander...a simple yes or no will suffice. If you would personally deal with them....say yes.
If anyone has any advice at all...(I'd love to hear from some editors on this one)... please let fly!
