"Fini" ?? --- is that the Italian compressor?
I thought I was just about the only one who owned one.........
I have never seen them around here, and I thought they were out of business.
Mine has been ticking along for 12-13 years, and I have never had a problem with it. But it is sounding a little sick, and I wonder if you looked into having your fixed?

SEnco still try to sell them,Emglo used to use their pumps ,they were very popular till the Chinese stole the market. They do a knock off for $80 ! Fini were $300-350.I looked at the knock off but felt that it was not something I would like to own.But in its favour very light ,very quiet and a throw away(my totally unfounded gut feeling was how soon?)I need reliability, spares(I think that fini will become hard to get ),not low price. The mac seems in the middle (made in taiwan for Makita)
I have the model before that, I think the number is mac 500. Single hot dog tank, 1 or 1&1/2 horse, oil-less. I've had it over ten years and couldn't be happier.
I use it on trim and it'll run two guns no sweat, doesn't cycle too often (a little loud when it does, but not bad), good regulators, doesn't ever trip circuits, light weight - 36 lbs., using a 50' extension cord- 12 ga.- doesn't affect it in the least, and I even use it to blow out my lawn sprinklers.
A few people tried to discourage me from buying oil-less, said it would break down and need repair/rebuilding often. Has never needed a thing, still runs like a clock... Buic
