How fortunate for me that the new issue of FHB features an article on installing glass mosaic tile and I was a week from starting to tile my new shower with the stuff. My “tile” work is limited to working with stone, at which I’m competent. My problem with the glass mosaic installation is that there is a lot of thin-set that has come through to the surface in between the tiles. The glass mosaic is black and I used grey Laticrete thin-set and admix. I lightly back-buttered the tile according to the Laticrete instructions. Am I committed to grey grout, or should I somehow scrape off the thin-set in between the gazillion tiles? How should I go about this?
Thanks!
Jack
