I plan to move a casement window in kitchen toward 1 foot left to better position the sink and the rest of cabinets for total kitchen remodel. I’d think I need to remove some of current base and wall cabinets and tear down the drywall to the position where new window will be for new header and frame.
I don’t know if this is doable and how much I need to buget the work, and I can not place order for cabinets without the decision on window, I can’t afford to tear down the whole kitchen for a new window, then wait 2 months for new cabinets to come.
Anyone can tell me a rough estimate for this kind of windown job? and a better process that causes least choas. I like to have every thing (new cabinets and appliances) delivered before starting remodeling. I’m in NJ. Thank you

No one can really tell you what it will cost without a lot more info.
How big is the window? Do you want to re-use it, or replace it? A new unit can be $200 or $2,000.
What's the exterior finish of the house? Wood siding? Vinyl? Stucco? How old is it? Can matching material be found to patch everything back together?
Is this a load-bearing wall? If so, what's above it- just a roof, or a second story and a roof?
If the window is really that poorly positioned, whatever it costs will probably be a fraction of what the overall job costs- not to mention the aggravation you'll feel if you don't move it and have to compromise the kitchen design to accomodate the window location. Every time you look at the window, you'll kick yourself for not moving it.
Where in NJ are you? I'm in Woodbridge myself.

Yeah, my bad without providing details
The window is about 45" wide and will not be reused. The new window I plan to use will be no wider than that, may be a few inches smaller so I can bigger wall space for cabinets.
This is exterior wall (of cuase) and 13 yo 2-story single house with white vinyl siding. I'm sure the match siding is easily available.
The reason I want to move the window is , my current sink is in front of window and on the corner of pennisula. My wife wants a bigger sink, no way the corner will fit it, so my plan is removing the pennisula. The current window and sink will be to far away from range and there is no room for dish washer to the right of sink. the whole layout will be off balanced and affects the sizes of other base cabinets on the same wall.
The bottom line is if the cost of moving window is too high, then we may have to live with it, but I like to explore this option first.
I'm at Linvinsgon, NJ. Thanks
Don't forget about the vent for the sink...Bud
The drain and vent pipe will be move to 1 foot left along with sink from basement in wall. I may hire a plumber for water, drain and gas re-route.
thanks
