People's dreams are made out of what they do all day. The same way a dog that runs rabbits will dream of rabbits. It's what you do that makes your soul, not the other way around.

C'mon, now...
Where?
Why?
"Logic, like whiskey, loses it's beneficial effect when taken in too large quantities." Lord Dunsany
"Where? Why?"Where: In all the land...Why: Because my work clothes never smell "clean" even after washing. They just kinda don't stink. This is okay, but it seems like only half the battle. I just thought I'd ask for an endorsement from guys and gals who actually get their clothes "dirty", like me. I use Tide, but I'm about to run out.
Ivory flakes, if you can find em

Mr T cornored the market to make his napalm..
it's not in the washing it's in the dryer. Laundry sheets. Use plenty. And don't recycle.
You'll smell as sweet as Rosemary Clooney
Tide
unless you are a concrete form guy.
then, forget it. nothing kills that. your best bet is to lay your dirty clothes out in the sun on concrete and let the sun bake the form oil out.
don't laugh
it works

Tide with bleach, and way more than the bottle recomends, i work concrete forms. does the trick 99% of the time
IMHO clean shouldn't have any smell.
Perfumes and scents are just masks for a failure to get the wash clean.
Soft water, or the addition of water softener liquid, and limiting the amount of clothing in the machine make a big difference.
Hot water and adding a booster, borax, helps.
Dryer sheets are less than useless. These things are a waste of money IMO. Most of them smell like a cheap whore. They make the cloth feel funny, like plastic.

Where can a fella get some those dryer sheets??
I always thought they smelled like an expensive whore myself.
But then again I may not be up on the current market rate of whores these days.

we breifly had a guy that would put down a 30 pack a night, young guy about 20 or so. BIG guy too...
Beer certianly didn't help his aroma one single bit...
on the other hand, when someone asked him about laundry because he stunk so bad
"I hate doing laundry"
was his responce
