Novice Boston-based home designer (aka unregistered architect) here with a nice kind of problem to have. A friend of a friend wants to build a new 2,0000-2,500 sf home in the Nashua (also includes NE Mass) area. He wants me to help him find land, advise him on all costs (including site prep and utilities), etc. His budget, including land, is $450,000. I’m pretty green, and unfamiliar with Nashua. Any thoughts? Thanks!

You have a contract, I trust?
*And have received a retainer?
*no, we have only spoken briefly on the phone. Before a contract is signed, I need to do some homework to determine if $450,000 is a possible budget for land/new construction
*see above
