I’m in the process of adding these molding in a dining room between the chair rail and the baseboard but I don’t know how to attach them since some of the horizontal and many of the vertical sides don’t line up with a stud. Does anyone have a trick for this? Also is there a good way to keep the corners together? I can’t see using a brad since the panel molding is only 1 1/4 X 5/16.

Spray foam is a great invention, but it's not always necessary.
