OK, a charge appears on my Dad’s credit card, apparently charged by my no-good brother (not that one, the other one), for a “6.5 PERS PCE” for $359. This was at Home Depot. Anyone got an idea what that might be?
[Never mind]
Toro 6.5 HP “Personal Pace” lawnmower. One of the few semi-legit purchases he made with the card. (Only semi-legit because he probably pawned the previous mower.)

LOL!!
There's been a couple of times that I've taken receipts back to Lowes to ask "What did I buy????"
I've had to take tickets back to the lumber yard and to the hardware store after getting the bill at the end of the month (sometimes the handwriting isn't so good)..."What was this again???"
And those trips were after examining my mileage log for the day of the receipt figuring that where I went after the purchase would help me remember the purchase.....NOT!!
Now if I just recorded my purchases on a daily basis....

One time long ago after I moved to my present location I went into this grocery store. Bought a few things and after I paid I checked my bill and there was this item "chick breast". Didn't take too long to find out.
Gimme 2 chick breasts. How much izzat?
I hope they were tender....
You're gonna get me started now.
All retailers have this coding on invoices to some degreee, but the big boxes are undoubtedly the worst.
And try to get help finding out what the item is...!
I register my complaint with HD every time I get a bill. theuy act like it's my job to track purchases and itemize them.
Then there's the time they billed me for a purchase made in Florida when I was not in Florida. "Sorry Sir, the clerk must have entered the wrong account number...We'll take that harge right offf." But it was troublesome that it could be there in the first place. ALWAYS check your statements!

"ALWAYS check your statements!"And not just the highly computerized ones. My yard still fills tickets out by hand. Pricing, extensions, and totals all by hand.I check every ticket. Unfortunately, I think I've saved them more money than I've saved myself!! There used to be more mistakes than there have been lately. I sometimes wonder if my tickets are done more carefully because they know I check (seems like it should be the other way around...)Rich BeckmanAnother day, another tool.
One paint store, that gets most of the So. Maine business, that I go to, you cant tell where one items stops and the next begins. Each item has all digit codes with occasional word, and about 7-10 lines of this. There isnt much order, and the word will show up somewhere in the middle of the lines I have to try to figure it out when I get out to the truck just to keep figures straight on one slip.... what a pain.
