I’m looking to build an ottoman. Does anyone remember an issue of FWW in which they have different pictures or anyone have pictures of there own? I’m looking for different styles and ideas. Thank you

Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

Try posting your question at Knots--that's the woodworking forum. This one is mainly for homebuilding. (Although there are probably people here who can answer, you'll find even more at Knots.) Good luck.
I would start that onme with thinking about the history of that piece of furniture. It comes to us from teh Ottoman Turks, whose empire once reached into much of eastern europe and whose influence reached from there through Italy and France to England while it was still a bunch of quarreling tribes and not yet the world conquering island natiopn that we know of.
The turks liked to take their leisure at the end of the day. Their furniture was low and soft and wide. They laid back amoung multiple pillows. Their tabnles and what chairs they had were low slung. So the footstool we think of aas an ottoman came from that background. a place to get you feet up out of the sand and get them massaged and rubbed with oil.
now go to work Googling with inspiration.
