18 ounce Douglas with the shorter wood handle and magnetic nail holder.Doesn't ring like my Hart did (drove me nuts) the checkerboard face grips nails better than most yet doesn't leave huge pecker tracks. I do mostly reno and finishing, sometimes run a framing crew and it's the closest I've come to an allpurpose hammer. And dammit it just looks spiffy. Rik
The local Lowes had a clearance table of odd tools, and I bought an Estwing leather handle (brand new) for half price. Ergomically it sux, but it has a classic look. My father had one back in the 60's and that's what it remionds me of. Wish I had bought one sooner, just for the memories.Do it right, or do it twice.
Pro dek has several. What are you wanting to know about them? BTW, nice nickname. Heh, you could put on your cards "It might be crooked, but I'm cheap!" :-)

I own all four of Thomas Douglas Coonrads hammers 18, 20, 22, and 23 oz. plus his original 22oz. Hart Woody Stainless steel which Hart stopped making about 8 Years ago. He definitely gets the prize for the best designed hammer in the world.
Here is the hammer fan but I have added a few since this picture was taken.
Enjoy that hammer, it's a beauty.

Being the hammer nut you are (I mean that in the best way), I was wondering what ya thought of the new fiberglass handled models. I`ve been swinging a Vaughn 22 oz. wood handle for as long as I can remember....picked up the fiberglass model about two weeks back. So far I love this thing. As well balanced as the wood handle was, this MAY be better.J. D. Reynolds

I like the Vaughan Fiberglass hammer and that is why I have one in my collection.
It is a well balanced, indestructible, and comfortable to grip and swing.
My only drawback is that rubber handled hammers are not as easy to draw and holster in the old tool belt like the wood handled hammers. They get hung up on the hammer loop.
Now you can think of me every time your hammer gets stuck in the belt. :-) Bob

What, do you nail your food down? Titanium is generally food-safe...

That's my point, you have to nail your food down on a sailboat. :-)Bob
