new ? (maybe) question on closed cell

OK so I spent the last 2 hours reading through searched threads on polyurathane closed-cell foam. One question lingers in my head…
Do mice chew/live in it?
I know they don’t with celulose, but I’m trying to insulate the ceiling/attic floor in a 50’s ranch. Attic is used for storage and not a lot of headroom. To do cells, I’d lose and unacceptable amount of storage & headroom space.
I’ll be blowing cells into the wall cavities.
The house has had mice issues for years. I don’t want to spend big $ on poly foam if the mice will make condominiums out of it. I must do something though, because I have only 6″ FG in the attic now, and fuel oil prices aren’t getting lower…
Thanks!

WAAAA!!!
I thought I'd found the answer top my head clearance issues...
I wonder if anyone offers borate (or other chemical) infused spray polyiso? It seems there'd be a market for it.
I know some SIP manufacturers tout borate mixes in their foam products.Ithaca, NY "10 square miles, surrounded by reality"
dunno about the borate but it seems that the critters carve out a nest in it or haul it off to line their nests with it..Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->
