There was a thread about firm floors. I think possibly Boss Hog had some calculations for it. I cant find it. If someone could point me in the right direction . Thank you.

Do an advanced search on "floor vibration i-joist. Plenty of posts. Limiting it to last 6 months turns up several. The one in March is post number 21010. In it, BH gives a link to a lengthy post he did on vibration. [Edit: oops - 21010 WAS the post he started].
No sure if by "firm" you mean stiff, for minimum deflection, or good with respect to vibration.
