All,
I have been asked to build an office in a warehouse which is constructed of arched steel beams which are 6″ across and 10″ deep and span from the front of the warehouse to the rear. I have known, in the past, this type of construction to be called ‘Bulter Buildings’. The owner wants to put a 20′ x 30′ office in the rear of the warehouse.
I think that I must tie in to the beams – for office wall support – in some fashion or other. I was wondering if there are “accessories” (anchors, brackets, … ) for this type of construction which facilitate building an office with a 10′ high ceiling in a building with 12.5′ high beams.
Thanks,
dlb

Put steel stud kickers in. Just cut the side flanges and and bend the face on both sides, the install at roughly a 45 degree angle from the top of the wall to the beam. Screw the face to the top of the wall and shoot the face to the bottom of the beam. Hope I explained it good enuf...
