we use Certainteed fibercement.. which used to be Ashland -Davis..
i think our oldest is about 5 years... climate is Coastal Rhode Island

Did one 6 years ago and it looks exactly like new. Northeast in a very exposed windy area.
Something close to seven years. Florida. Heat, moisture and lots of critters that want to eat your home. Still looks nice and is still on the first paint job. Could use a wash on the north side but it is not the fault of the siding.
Chem-Plank, 2 years, very high humidity, just west of Charleston, SC.
The north and east sides were looking quite shabby with green growth but washed up as good as new.
