A customer of mine has a block chimney that is deteriorating on the outside. Pieces are falling off. I intend to wrap is with a wire mesh and trowel mortor over it. My question is will mortor hold up or do I need a special type of concrete to use? If so what type holds up the best?
Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.
