This one is for all you paint guys or just about anyone whose been around the block a time or two. I am finising a job where we bricked in a window. We are now ready to paint but I cant seem to find anyone who can match the existing wall. The wall has a slightly sandy texture to it and the paint, which is white is so thickly applied it nearly obscures the mortar joints. As legend has it the original bricklayer did not wash the brick so the homeowner used this stuff to hide the mistake. The mason that I got to brick in the window reffered to it as cow sh%t whitewash but so far noone else has been able to peg what it is and how to duplicate it.

I can't help but for those who could it might be helpfull if they had a picture of what the texture looks like, if you could take a photo of the wall and post it, it might help.
Ditto CAG....
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Tried the picture route, but because it is white it doesn't show up well with my camera):
Masonry block filler? The stuff that is used to hide cracks in thewall.
Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell'em "Certainly, I can!" Then get busy and find out how to do it. T. Roosevelt
