This is probably the first of many for this project so please help
I am building a 36×24 garage w/ apartment above w/ 4′ kneewalls
at loft w/ 12′ rafter spans. 4′ in i have 8′ “non bearing” partition for 8′ ceiling heightI know its not supposed to but, will this NB wall act as a purlin and transfer roof loads to 24’long LVL’s in garage below? If so any way to isolate the load off this wall?
