Has this now been approved for use in MA? I read recent article about advantage of fast installation over copper, but are there any other considerations worth looking at?

Yes. It was installed as part of a new zone in my home. The room was difficult to get at so Pex was used. It works great. I haven't had any problems over the past two years.
