Id like help on how to figure compound plate angles. When framing a standard 135 degree bay that rakes up to be a cathedral ceiling,I cut the returning section studs on a compound miter so that the rafters plane down through.Which makes for a complimentary top plate angle.I cut my bottom plates on a 22.5 and put studs square to them and at the inside corner. As of now I make a model to come up with plate angles it works, yet if i wasnt such a knuckle dragger I would use some math .I use simple trig but this one has me stumped.Any help would be appreciated,Thanks in advance.
