My builder uses PCB pipe for running cold and hot water supply throughout the house. I have the option of having them do copper for $500. Is PCB okay or should I tell them I want copper for $500?

PCB? As far as I know PCB is a poisonous chemical that was (?) used in transformers until the EPA got a hold of the responsible parties.
How about PVC? Is that it?
Get your terminology straight and then we can answer your question.
*Scott: "Copper for $500 please, Alex..."Alex: "It's better than plastic for the domestic water supply plumbing runs in a house."Scott: "What is copper?"Regardless of it being PCB, PVC, or PB, I'd pay for copper. PEX is better than all the other P's, but I'd prefer copper over that as well.
