Does anybody know of an after market supplyer of the spring loaded tie-downs for pick ups? They fit down in the stake holes on top of the bed rai, and when you push on them they pop up, push again, and they are flush with the bed rail. I had’em on my ’93 Nissan SEV6 PU as a factory option with the full bed liner, and they were sure convienent. Got a Ford Ranger now and the standard tie downs are a pain to use when hauling ply. Thanks

"Pop-up tie downs"
Isn't that line an oxymoron or something ???

I have seen them all over the place. Walmart, the different auto supply stores, and like.
But an truck supply store (where they sell running boards, toppers and the like) willhave the largest selection.
However, I rarely carry anything that is that high that those or the regular tie downs would do much good with. So I wanted some flush ones that would mount down on the side of the bed near the bottom. I could not find they anyplace but JC Wihitney.

They are not real heavy duty, but great for securing a couple of sheets of plywood or a 100 bf of hardwood or some pipe.
BTW, for the plywood I have an expanding bar that put across the plywood at the front so that it can't lift up and a single rope diagonaly across the back edge of the plywood from one of my low tie-downs to the factory one on the other side. Very quick and it very secure.
