i am repairing a front porch, with balcony above.
around here, all of the porch flooring was originally done in 4 x 5/4 t&g pine (or maybe spruce). that’s hard to come by now, and, anyway, they want it replaced with something pressure treated.
home depot used to carry a 6 x 5/4 v groove decking, but not anymore.
any suggestions? remember, this is a front porch and not a back deck, so plain old PT planks won’t cut it.

try a local lumberyard and not a BigBox
would if i could, but they've all been driven out of business.the closest "local" yard is 45? minutes away.there used to be a yard right downtown. call in the morning, (free) delivery in the afternoon.now it's condo's.

wasn't familiar with cvg, then yesmaam defined, so i googled.nice stuff.but this house is part of a 4 door row, and they have some sort of home owner's agreement that stipulates that the exterior has to remain the same.so that means 4 x 5/4, painted porch floor grey. i was hoping there was a PT product available, but i guess not.i can still get the 5/4 spruce, so will probably end up using that. would it be a waste of time to back prime the underside (84 ft')?
<<<would it be a waste of time to back prime the underside (84 ft')?>>>NoAnd prime the sides as well.
Absolutely. i would not dream of using T&G on a porch deck without sealer/primer all six sides before installing - esp spruce.

What Piffin said -- clear vertical grain fir.
back and end prime it.
Tendura, but you will have a little sticker shock, in fact you will also with the fir flooring!!
Did Tendura get bought by Correctdeck and now it's called Correctporch.
Also Azek came out with a product very similar to Tendura but I believe it does not have to be covered like Tendura.
