A while back someone was asking about porch screen numbers and there was another question even earlier about custom signage. I just received my new Seton catalog; and, while leafing through it, came across their version of the tags (very nice too, in brass or aluminum with black enamel filled etched numbering). I’ve used them in the past for various hazard and warning signs as well as asset labels.
They’ve gone international – check out http://www.seton.ca/setonintl.htm
for the outlet in your country.

Thanks for looking. These aren't the type of numbers I've been looking for. In old houses, they used to use a number system that involved a tack with a head about 1/4 to 1/2 with consecutive numbers on each head. They would come in triplicate, so that you would have a numbered tack for the window, the storm and the screen. The tacks would be either brass or lead (I've seen both in old houses). And I have been unable to find anyone who still makes these numbered tacks.
But again, thanks for looking.

*You mean like the upholstery tacks with the numbers hand punched in them ?
*Similar, except the numbers weren't punched in. In the lead type, they were raised and in the brass it was usually a black enamal number.SHG
*How many do you want? I have found a whole bunch of them while I was cleaning up the basement (Wife still in shock). I have stuff from my uncle and father.Seriously: If you want 'em, let me know.
