quieting a gas fireplace insert

I have a Heat ‘n Glo gas fireplace insert. When it comes on, it clicks and pops as the metal expands. I installed a factory retrofit kit that helped, and stuffed the cavity behind the insert w/ fiberglass- worked for a while, but now starting again- any ideas?

Does the manufacturer allow stuffing the area behind the unit with FG?
Thanks for the reply- I had already stuffed the cavity w/ fg. I just got back from the site. the tenant had apparently removed the glass to clean it, and had not re-installed it properly. Nice how they neglect to mention these kinds of details when the make a service request!I (properly) replaced the glass- now silent again.I'll charge them for the service call. This house is 126 miles from where I live.Bill
