Hi all
When I built my house 25 years ago, I installed some Hurd sliders.
They were very good, but I also added a set of storm window sliders (also from Hurd) to the front of them.
This basically gave me a triple glazed window, which has been pretty energy effiicient.
I need 2 new windows for an addition I’m doing. (My own home)
I am super-insulating the new addition, and would like to also do something with the windows.
I’d like some advice:
Triple glazed windows?
Insulated windows (low E glass) with a storm panel again.
Insulated windows (low E glass) with a thermo pane storm panel (even if I need to build it.)
Non opening windows with 2 sets of insulated glass.
Or another idea?
I might add that my wife would like an opening window (I’d prefer non opening for this addition), but she wins.
I haven’t gotton to the supplier yet, but I think I’m going to get Marvin all-Integrity, so that I can use fiberglass. I don’t know what they offer yet.
So, any and all help and advice is needed and wanted.
Thank you in advance.
Jeff

I wondered where it disappeared to.
How about these: http://www.thermotechwindows.com/. There are other Canadian manufacturers of energy efficient windows.
Marson
I tried calling them the other day and got no answer.
They also didn't replay to email.
I'll try again this week.

Ah yes, that jogs my memory. I used their windows once, and while I was very impressed with their products, their communication left a lot to be desired. Here is another one. I haven't used them, but I know some who has:http://www.duxtonwindows.com/.
Sardog, I made an email inquiry to them when I was researching windows. Got no response... until last week when they called to follow up on my inquiry - about a month after I had ordered Marvin Integrity. Guy said they were busy. Well, too busy I guess. You snooze, you lose.
