I am removing a pressure treated deck and have to move or replace some of the joists. Does anyone know how to remove a joist hanger? THey seem to be almost bullet or bomb proof!!

Assuming it is simply nailed into place then you get a "cats paw" nail puller if you don't already have one.
Best for what you are trying to do is one that has a "Vee" on both the "Leg" end and the "Paw" end.
Dovetail hit the nail on the head. Catspaw is the tool. Best to lift the joist from the end of the deck then remove the hanger with the catspaw. A 3' crowbar works best to lift the joist from the beam.
If you can't knock the rim off you'll have to cut the joist in half.
Have fun and make some sawdust

Get a small/medium sized flat bar(wonder bar) along with the cats paw. Assuming your going after the nails into the joist first, and not into the ledger/rim....drive the flat blade under the hanger right at the nail location so the nail enters the center of the "V" on the bar.... push down on the bar enough to start the nail coming out.....stop ...remove bar ...tap the hanger back down and grab the head of the nail with the cats paw and remove nail....repeat procedure at all other nail locations on hanger till joist is free...
trick is using hanger to pry out head of nail enough to get a bite w/cats paw

????Are you removing this or moving it?
Need to save the lumber????
I just use a sawsall and/or circ saw and cut a couple inches away from the hanger to demo.
Zip zip and done - no need for knucckle busting
