Removing Cultured Marble Backsplash
Any tips on cleanly removing an old cultured marble backsplash without having to make a huge repair in the drywall? It was installed about 15 years ago by the previous HO and I have no idea how it was attached, but I imagine its either a mastic or construction adheasive. At this point I’m just going to cut around it with a utility knife and patch it. Any other suggestions?<!—-><!—->
Thanks in Advance!<!—->

My experience with cultured marble vanities and counters is thast they are very heavy and full of somethjing that eats carbide bits, so either a big hammer of a diamond blade is required.
What aree you going to cut around? Do you mean cut the caulk loose around the edges? That's a good start, but you'll still have the blobs of liquid nails or silicone in the middle of the splash. You might end up cutting the sheetrock loose along tghe edges of the splash, and replace that whol;e section.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
