Getting ready to do a repair/replacement of a log home kit(Gastineau Log Homes) in New Market MD. These are 6×8 “D” profile with “tongue & groove ” on top and bottom of logs instead of grooves with separate splines to keep logs from shifting laterally. It’s on the bottom corner about 8-9 log tall. I’ve done a few , just was curious if any of you have done this and how you approach the placing of new sections with the spline or the T&G on a section in the side wall . thanks Bill D.
