I plan to build a bathroom in the basement which will require demolition of part of the floor to install sewage pipe runs and a grinder/pump to get the sewage up to the proper height so that it can flow downhill from there. The concrete floor was installed over poly which has kept the floor free from moisture coming up from below. Is there anything I can do to recapture the moisture seal after the pipe and grinder/pump are installed? TIA

If you can, Try to keep at least 2to4" of poly around the perimeter of the break out. Put new poly down and seal the new to the old with pitch, then do your rough plumbing. Back fill the cavity and pour the cement.
