I pulled up carpet in my living room.And it has nice hardwood flooring,the problem is there are a few spots where the finish has worn off.do i have sand the hole floor and refinish it? or is there an easy way to do it?

Joe, no easy way to repair damaged varnish. If it's shellac (test with alcohol) then a spot repair may be possible. You may wish to sand and refinish now, and benefit from the knowledge that it's over and done with.
