Has anyone got (or seen) the new Ridgid miter saw stand? Has wheels and collapses into a compact bundle. What caught my eye was that it is designed to stand up vertically taking only a couple of sf. when collapsed. If anyone has purchased one would like their reaction. Looks good to me.

Ja- Sounds like somebody's been walkin' thru Home Depot!

Jan,
Cant speak on the miter saw stand, but I did purchase the Ridgid 10" table saw that came mounted to a collapsable rolling stand. I`ve had it a little over a year and am VERY happy with it! Just my two cents.

I haven't seen a special miter saw stand form Ridgid- but I have sen the same stand they sell with their jobsit table saw used for a miter saw. I have the Delta miter saw stand and the Ridgid table saw with stand. THe Delta stand is also sold in Home Depot, and it's great in use but takes care to store in a shed. It doesn't "park" on its own like the Ridgid table saw stand. I had to rig up a home made kick stand for it.
Ya I saw it but right next to it was the dewalt stand that folded a lot slimmer. I've had it for about 4 weeks now and use it about every other day with my mak 10" compound slider and I'm super happy with it. Sturdy , light, and simple.
Yes, I've looked at the DeWalt and would prefer it were I still doing site work. What appeals to me about the rigid was that you could fold it up and store it w/ the saw attached.
You might want to take a look at the KwikStand. The saw bolts to it permanently and it has a built in outfeed support and big wheels for moving around the job site . I have two of them. the first one I have had for 2 or 3 years. Works great. Check it out at http://www.kwikstand.info
