Anyone know of where to find the HARDWARE ONLY for a rolling library ladder? Called all over town, searched the web; found plenty of places like Putnam rolling ladder who’ll make the whole shebang for me, but I don’t want to pony up 1300 for something I could make in the shop, if only I had the hardware!

Syd There is a company in San Diego called Louis and Company and as I am looking at their new catalog page H.7, they should have what you are looking for. phone # 800 545-6847. there are a few of them around the country so maybe one is closer to you where ever you are. I don't see any web site address, so call S.D. one and they can direct you.

*The traditional wisdom of why the pieces are hard to find is the potential litigation surrounding a fall from a ladder that is built by whomever with someones's readily-identifiable hardware.
*Syd,Louis and Company.......as mentioned. That's where to go. They have a store close to Dallas in Arlinton, Texas. They probably have a store in evey state. They got 'em.Ed. Williams
*You guys are a lifesaver! (okay--maybe not a life saved, but at least $1200!)Jim--I live in San Diego as well--know Louis & Co. well, but usually shop around the corner at EB Bradley. I have one of their catalogs, but not one from Louis & Co. I will check there on Monday. Thanks to you, too, Ed. Talk to you soon.
