Could someone please advise: I wish to design and install a ventilation system for the new roof on my home. The roof is a 12:12 pitch and the ceiling for the upstairs rooms is the bottom of the 2×6 tg decking for the roof. I live in a high wind area in the San Francisco Bay area. I recall reading about a design that involved an air gap area built up on furring strips utilizing a continuous ridge vent and open soffits. Anyone with info?, I sure would appreciate the help.
