I’m designing a small club house for a minature golf course. I beleive I want to build this out of rough sawn 2x with a horzontal shiplap backer and a board and batten cedar siding. The problem is I’m having a hard time finding materials. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appriciated. I beleive all I need is fir. The rafters need to be a 2X10-20′ long. Any suggestions on a framing method would be great allso. The theme for the course is a old minning theme. We will be constructing a water wheel on one end also. So any one that wants to put their creative mind to work we would enjoy hearing from you.

Your lumber yard should be willing to re saw your faces for you. And you can order true dimension stock from the mill if you want that as well.
Hope that might help.
Yes I ,ve contacted some local mills but then we have to have it kiln dried and time is a issue.
Your profile doesn't indicate where you are but unless it's in Death Vally there has to be a small sawmill not too far away that can fix you up with anything you need. Find an old one that hasn't switched to a band saw and you should get the look you desire.
Is anyone demoing a pre-WWII building near you? That's a source of well distressed rough sawn old growth. Or, to the other extreme, is there someone who has a woodmizer or other small portable mill? They could cut what you need if you can find the tree.
