Rubber flexible base shoe finishing

I need to finish some of this base shoe and I was wondering if I could just use some tinted oil polyurethane to make it match some honey maple cabinets. Just a shade above a natural. If you have worked with this product give me a ring. GW

    Greg, poly is hard, rubber is not.

    Go to a Sherwin Williams dealer, they always seem to be able to come up with something, just don't hope for too much.
