Okay new guy “carpenter” started last week along with two helpers. Today I walk out and the “carpenter” was using the tablesaw. As I came around the corner I could hear it running with no operator, he was offloading a delivery. I walked over and shut off the tablesaw and asked who left it running. He said he did. I told him that we dont do things like that and if that was the way he did things he better change or find somewhere else to work. I said it calmly and walked away. He approached me later and asked if I always lashed out like that. I explained to him calmly that I needed to finish with the subcontractor I was with and now wasnt a good time because I was still pissed off. He kept pushing……….I finaly told him to go home for the day and think about it. He still didnt understand that he could have hurt someone walking by.
Too harsh on my part??
